There were plenty of stars in the first week of high school girls' soccer in Central Mass., and Tommy Cassell found some of the best performances from the ones that were reported in by the coaches to the Hometeam Scoreboard for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Girls' Soccer Player of the Week.

Caroline Claydon, Millbury
This goalie made five saves to secure a 2-0 shutout win for the Woolies over Uxbridge.
Kara DeCapua, Maynard
This goalkeeper posted the shutout for visiting Maynard in a 1-0 win over Littleton.
Kendall Gamache, Gardner
This eighth grader netted three goals and added an assist in her first varsity game to lead the Wildcats to a 10-1 win over Narragansett.
Madison Harman, Wachusett
This goalkeeper posted a shutout to move the Mountaineers to a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury.
Nicole Jodoin, South
Jodoin netted seven, yes seven, goals in the visiting Colonels’ 11-1 beatdown of Burncoat before securing six goals and one assist in her team’s 9-0 win over Doherty.
Vivian Lee, Littleton
This goalkeeper posted a shutout in the visiting Tigers’ 2-0 blanking of Tahanto before posting another clean sheet in her team’s 3-0 victory over Quabbin.
Lily Mom-Uch, Monty Tech
Mom-Uch registered a hat trick to lead the host Bulldogs to a 9-0 win over Abby Kelley.
Riley Mitza, Tyngsborough
This senior captain scored four goals to give her 100 for her career and lead the host Tigers to a 4-1 win over Oakmont.
Brigid Murphy, Doherty
This senior captain dazzled for Doherty with four goals and an assist to propel the Highlanders to a 7-0 victory over North/Tech.
Claire Nolan, Lunenburg
Nolan notched four goals to lead the host Blue Knights to a 7-1 win over Clinton.
Paige Reynolds, Oxford
Reynolds made 13 saves, including one on a penalty kick, to preserve a 3-0 shutout for the Pirates over Carver.
Grace Shannon, West Boylston
This senior secured four goals to lead the host Lions to a 5-1 win over Narragansett.
Lilian Shiers, Tantasqua
Shiers scored four goals and added two assists as the visiting Warriors blanked Marlborough, 7-0, in their season opener prior to netting a hat trick in her team’s 7-0 win over Uxbridge.
Reese Taylor, Clinton
Taylor tamed visiting Ayer-Shirley with 12 saves to preserve the shutout and a 3-0 win for the Gaels.
