Louisville Metro Police reassigns head of training academy amid gender discrimination investigation

Louisville Metro Police reassigned the commander of its training academy to a temporary role Tuesday while the department conducts a gender discrimination investigation.

Maj. David Allen is not on administrative leave, LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said in a statement. He will remain in a temporary position until the investigation is complete.

LMPD did not say what Allen's role would be while the investigation is pending.
