Married At First Sight star Olivia Frazer has called for the Australian reality TV industry to be reformed.

She famously starred in season nine of the Aussie reality show, where she was coupled up with groom Jackson Lonie.

Despite ending the show as a couple, Olivia and Jackson eventually broke off their relationship after 10 months together.

Reflecting on the challenges she’s faced since the show, Olivia is now asking for changes to be made within reality TV production.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Olivia highlighted some of the issues within the reality TV sphere.

"I vote for reality TV reform in Australia. I vote for it to be regulated, fair portrayals," she said. "I vote for participants right of reply while airing. No mandatory NDAs.

"I vote for transparency. No producers coming forward saying 'reality tv is reality'. No. Admit it's just entertainment, extremely edited, and not accurate.

"I vote for no more reality TV participants (or their friends and family) coming off of ANY reality show – especially MAFS – losing their jobs, losing their reputation, being subjected to extreme amounts of abuse, being left suicidal, and completely failed by production's (zero) protection."

Olivia faced criticism during her time on the show after sharing a nude photo of her co-star Domenica Calarco with other members of the cast.

However, this isn’t the first time Olivia has been critical of her MAFS experience as she’s previously called out the way the show was edited.

Back in August 2023, she blamed the show for the break-down of her relationship with Jackson.

"I really think if the show never aired or if it aired accurately, we'd probably still be together," she said, in an Instagram Q&A at the time. "But alas, it did, and it really put too much pressure on our relationship, as strong as it was."
