We have a little Pomeranian and every walk with him results in him getting exhausted halfway before the walk is finished and us having to carry him the rest of the way! One person in the comments is familiar with the little dog exhausted walk thing and asked Stewart, "Did your Frenchie walk for 3 hours ?" To which Stewart replied, "Yes!"

Now her dogs have some stamina! Our own dogs loves walkies, just very brief ones.

If you are planning on getting out there for a three hour hike (Bless you) with your own pup, here are some tips to keep in mind.

Tips To Make The Most Out Of Your Dog Walks

It's very important to pack with water for both you and your dogs, especially when the temperatures have been as hot as it has been lately. I'm not sure how Martha managed to pack with that much water for all of her dogs, but make sure you bring fresh water and a bow for your pups to drink out of.

Make sure you practice good dog walking etiquette by bringing with waste disposal bags for your pup, and disposing of them in trash cans.

Allow your dog to sniff things while on their walks, because this is one of the ways that dogs explore the world.

When walking at night, make sure you and your dog both wear something reflective like a leash or harness for them and a jacket for you, so cars can see you in the dark.

If the weather is bad, consider a sweater or raincoat to keep your pup warm and dry.

Be careful letting your dog walk off leash, especially in areas where coyotes or other large predators have been spotted. If your dog needs some pointers for walking on a leash, here are some great tips here for getting your dog familiar with going on a walk.
