The Masked Singer panelist Ken Jeong is changing his career up a little with an upcoming role as a daytime talk show host.

Jeong has been a panelist on the American singing competition since it began in 2019, while he has also appeared in The Hangover film series and the TV show Community.

Now, Jeong will add another string to his bow by becoming the host of a new syndicated talk show set to release in 2024.

Jeong is developing the show with Lionsgate subsidy Debmar-Mercury and will executive produce with Jim Biederman, who is a veteran producer of shows such as The Howard Stern Radio Show.

The show can currently be developed because it is being produced under SAG-AFTRA's Network Code. This is a contract that handles talk shows, variety shows, and unscripted programs and is different from what actors are currently striking against.

Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a joint statement: "Ken is one of a handful of people in the world who has what it takes to succeed as a talk show host and we are excited to be in business with him."

They continued: "He is also a talent capable of conquering any time period with his mix of comedy, Hollywood celebrity friends and ability to bring viewers."

The Masked Singer and The Masked Dancer air on ITV1 and ITVX.
