McDonald's to give out limited edition nostalgic cups today

McDonald's is taking a trip down memory lane with the release of six nostalgic cups.

How to get Grimace cup

McDonald's characters Boo Buckets, Funny Fry Friends and Grimace are just a few of the elements and images depicted on McDonald's collectible cups.

"We're bringing back some of our most-loved keepsakes with a twist, giving fans a memory that they can hold in their hands," said McDonald's spokesperson Morgan Flatley in a press release. "These new collectible cups commemorate some of our most unforgettable designs and global collaborations over the years, allowing longtime fans to relive treasured moments and helping a new generation make their own lasting memories."

The six cups in the lineup are Barbie and Hot Wheels; Beanie Babies; Coca-Cola; Hello Kitty and Peanuts; Shrek, Jurassic Park and Minions.

The sixth cup features an assortment of McDonald's characters.

How to get McDonald's cups

McDonald's collectible cups will be available on Tuesday, August 13 only.

"The Collector's Meal is available all day long, so you can add to your collection whenever the mood strikes," read McDonald's press release. "Each meal includes one cup and the option of a Sausage McMuffin with Egg sandwich, hash brown and hot coffee during breakfast hours, or the choice of a 10-piece chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac sandwich with our world famous fries and a soft drink throughout the rest of the day."
