McDonald's has a new line of nostalgic collectible cups. What to know and how to get one

There have been plenty of recent deals from fast food restaurants, and now one legendary chain is releasing a collection of items – and a new choice of meals – that is sure to delight the kids, and the adults.

What's more, these particular collectibles are part of a long legacy.

McDonald’s is introducing the Collector’s Meal "featuring six collectible cups that inspire a new generation of fans," according to a release from the restaurant. "The meal puts a fresh spin on classic collectibles, like the Coca-Cola Contour Glass, Jurassic Park Tumblers, Grimace Glass and more."

Here's how to get them.

When will McDonald's collectable cups be available?

The McDonald's collectable glasses will be available starting Aug. 13. You can get them at participating restaurants, online, in stores and at the drive-thru.

What does the McDonald's Collector's Meal include?

Each Collector’s Meal includes one cup and the option of:

  • A Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Hash Brown and hot coffee during breakfast hours.

  • The choice of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or Big Mac Sandwich with fries and a drink throughout the rest of the day.

The designs are meant to be nostalgic. The cup designs include:

  • McDonald’s

  • Coca-Cola

  • Hello Kitty & Peanuts

  • Beanie Babies

  • Barbie & Hot Wheels

  • Shrek, Jurassic Park & Minions
