Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Set to Visit the UK for a Very Special Reason
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their senior working royal roles and headed for new pastures in California, the UK has been deprived of the couple. That! Said!!! The two look set to spend a significant amount of time back in Harry's homeland.
However...it won't be until 2027. 😭
So, what's going on? Well, royal fans fully know that Prince Harry is the founder of the Invictus Games, a sporting competition for current and former servicemen and women with injuries or illnesses. Each year, it is held in a different location.
To date, the Invictus Games has never been hosted in the UK (it's gone everywhere from Canada to Australia though!), but in 2027, that's all set to change since Birmingham has successfully won a bid to become the host city.
While this is exciting because it means it'll be easier for British spectators to show up and support those competing, it's also a big win for royal watchers too. Plus, it will hopefully mean plenty of (a) great outfit inspo from Meghan (who usually turns up to support her husband and the cause), and (b) cute pics of the Duke and Duchess sharing candid moments.
The Invictus Games being held in Birmingham could also see other members of the royal family such as King Charles or Prince William potentially attending in order to publicly show their support for one of Harry's proudest endeavors. Could this be a way to finally settle those royal *tensions*?
