The 16 teams that remain in the hunt for an NCAA baseball championship are divided up into eight matchups, with a best-of-three series deciding which team advances to the CWS, the sport’s most highly coveted stage.

Many of the squads that entered the 64-team NCAA tournament as favorites to win it all remain in contention, with 10 of the 16 national seeds still alive. Still, that figure shows there was some attrition in the regional stage of the event, with No. 5 Arkansas, No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Arizona, No. 14 UC Santa Barbara and No. 16 East Carolina all failing to win the regionals they hosted.
