You’re definitely going to want a pizza this! To help combat high food prices, Newman’s Own is launching a national “Pay What You Want” Pizza truck, where customers can try a variety of different toppings and pay what they wish for a slice.

The brand, which was founded by the late Paul Newman in 1982, has always been about raising money for a good cause. As a continuation of the owner’s founding commitment to “give it all away,” 100% of the truck’s profits will go towards Newman’s Own Foundation, dedicated to helping children who face adversity.

The Pay What You Want Pizza Truck is hitting the streets in New York City starting today, June 20, and will be traveling across the U.S. throughout the summer, stopping in 10 major cities including Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.

According to the press release, each truck will offer between three to five varieties of pizzas in each city, based on local availability. Customers can expect a wide range of flavors designed to fit anyone and everyone’s palate:

  • Thin & Crispy Crust Pizza: toppings include Uncured Pepperoni, Four cheese, and Supreme.

  • Stone-Fired Crust Pizza: toppings include Margherita and Roasted Garlic & Mushroom.

  • A new Sourdough Crust Pizza with Meatball toppings.

"We can't wait to share our delicious pizza, celebrate the great generosity in this country, and help even more kids," said David Best, President and CEO of Newman's Own. "Come by and enjoy a slice!"

More information about the Pay What You Want Pizza truck’s dates and locations will be available on the Newman's Own website and social media pages.
