24-year-old woman critically injured in west Fort Worth shooting, officials say
Police are investigating a west Fort Worth shooting that left a 24-year-old woman in critical condition Thursday night, officials said.
Officers self-initiated an investigation at 3100 Bridge Hill Drive shortly after 11 p.m. They found the victim lying on the ground at that location with a gunshot wound to the head, according to police.
An unknown suspect fired into a vehicle and struck the woman, according to the police report of the incident.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but isn’t expected to survive, police said.
No arrests have been announced.
The Gun Violence Unit is investigating the shooting.
