Burlington American's schedule, streaming info at Little League New England regionals

The 10-to-12-year-old all-stars from Burlington American ended a 53-year state championship drought last weekend.

Now, they'll attempt to do something no Vermont team can claim: Reaching the Little League World Series.

The Vermont state champions open their run at the New England Region tournament on Saturday, Aug. 3, vs. Massachusetts in Bristol, Connecticut. The winner of the modified double-elimination tournament advances to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, site of the World Series.

First pitch between Burlington American and Massachusetts is set for 10 a.m. The contest will be streamed on ESPN+.

The New England Region includes state champions from Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. New England states Connecticut and Rhode Island are in the Metro Region with New Jersey and New York.

The New England, Metro and Mid-Atlantic region tournaments will run concurrently at A. Bartlett Giamatti Little League Leadership Training Center in Bristol.
