Celine Dion is 'happy to be back in Paris' amid Olympic speculation, shares new photos

Celine Dion is back in Paris!

The 56-year-old singer has been spotted in the City of Light just days before the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics.

Following her arrival, Dion visited the famed Louvre Museum, where she took pictures that were shared on her Instagram account on July 24.

In the caption, she wrote, "Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world. I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre! Celine xx…"

In the comments, fans said they were happy to see Dion in Paris again. Some speculated that she was there to perform at the Olympics, echoing recent reports.

"OH MY LORD IT IS REALLY HAPPENING," one person commented on her post with crying emoji.

Another said, "Yasss the OLYMPIC SONGBIRD IS BACK!"

In an April interview with Vogue France, Dion said she would love to return to Paris one day. The five-time Grammy winner has been taking a break from music to deal with her health as she struggles with stiff person syndrome.

The syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that causes severe and painful muscle spasms in the body, which can affect a person's ability to walk, sing and more.

"I’ve chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!" she told Vogue France.

In a June interview with TODAY's Hoda Kotb, Dion said she'll do whatever it takes to return to the stage.

“I’m going to go back onstage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to talk with my hands, I will. I will," she said at the time.

Dion has previously performed at the Olympics. In 1996, she performed "The Power of the Dream" during the opening ceremony of the Atlanta Olympics.
