Elon Musk’s mom, Maye, says she also looked at Italian PM Giorgia Meloni with ‘admiration’ amid affair speculation

Billionaire Elon Musk’s mother weighed in on the rumors spiraling online that her son may secretly be in a romantic relationship with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, saying it was hard for her not to gawk at the European leader with “admiration.”

“I was sitting next to Elon,” Maye Musk, 76, replied to an X post of her son denying speculation that he and Meloni were romantically involved following their appearance together at the Atlantic Council’s Global Citizen Awards dinner in Midtown on Monday night.

“I also looked at Giorgia with admiration,” the model added.

Rumors sparked when Musk, 53, and Meloni, 47, were pictured gazing into each other’s eyes during the event.

Musk, however, quickly put the gossip to rest.

“I was there with my Mom,” the billionaire posted on X in response to a post of the viral photograph of him with the European leader.

“There is no romantic relationship whatsoever with PM Meloni.”

Musk’s model and dietitian mother posted the picture that sparked the online rumors and confirmed that she “went back to the hotel with Elon” after the evening concluded.

“True,” her son replied to the post.

Maye Musk also shared a picture of herself sitting alongside her billionaire son and Meloni, writing that it was a “wonderful evening.”

Musk introduced Meloni on stage at the black-tie event at her request, gushing that she “is even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside,” according to Politico.

During his introduction, he complimented the 47-year-old world leader, telling the crowd she is “authentic, honest, and thoughtful.”

“That can’t always be said about politicians,” Musk quipped.

The Italian PM embraced the X owner and father of 12 and lauded him as a “precious genius” before diving into a 15-minute speech defending nationalism and challenging the notion of the “inevitable decline of the West.”

The pair were seated beside each other at the event and were spotted having a deep conversation.

One clip posted on X shows Meloni gesturing emphatically as Musck leaned his head toward her.

Musk and Meloni have met several times over the last year, including their first meeting at Meloni’s official residence in Rome in June 2023, according to the Telegraph.

They have discussed their shared interest in the West’s declining birth rates and expressed their optimism for the future of artificial intelligence.

Musk also spoke at a political festival hosted by Meloni’s far-right Brothers of Italy party last December.

The Atlantic Council’s Global Citizen Awards dinner coincides with this week’s UN General Assembly, where the Italian prime minister spoke via video feed on Wednesday.

Meloni has emerged as a conservative force in European politics since she was elected Italy’s first female prime minister in 2022.

She split from her boyfriend of 10 years, Andrea Giambruno, in October 2023 after a lewd audio recording surfaced of him asking a woman if she would be interested in a foursome.

The perverted exchange led Meloni to reveal in an X post at the time that her relationship with Giambruno had “diverged for some time” before she officially ended things with her long-time boyfriend.

The Tesla CEO has 12 kids with three different women and most recently welcomed a baby with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis in January.
