Ex-UK player Reed Sheppard, Chipotle team up for new menu item ahead of NBA draft
Ahead of Wednesday night’s NBA Draft, Chipotle is teaming with former Kentucky basketball player Reed Sheppard on a dish.
The Reed Sheppard Bowl, which is apparently his go-to order, will appear on the digital menu on the Chipotle app and online at Chipotle.com.

The Kentucky Wildcat guard’s go-to order is listed along with those of UCon Huskies center Donovan Clingan and Indiana Hoosiers center Kel’el Ware.
So what’s on Sheppard’s dish?
Some might consider it pretty tame, given the fireworks expected on June 26, when Sheppard is projected to go as a top-five pick in most 2024 NBA mock drafts, a rarity among homegrown Kentucky basketball players.
The Reed Sheppard Bowl is chicken, white rice, black beans, Queso Blanco and lettuce. It’s 645 calories and $9.65.
As part of the national fast food restaurant chain’s promotion of the partnership, Chipotle also released an “Unwrapped” interview featuring the former Wildcats star and Ashley Brewer on how his parents, both Kentucky basketball players, shaped his love for the game. And who in his family is the best three-point shooter.
