Isotopes' final home series of '24 promises to be eventful

Sep. 9—The Albuquerque Isotopes have plans, big plans, for their final home series of the 2024 season.

Here's the lineup:

TUESDAY: Blake's Lotaburger Kids Fun Run (a feature every night of the homestand).

WEDNESDAY: September 11 Tribute Night — remembering those who died in the terrorist attack of 23 years ago on this date.

THURSDAY: School Day Matinee, with an 11:05 a.m. first pitch.

FRIDAY: The start of Fan Appreciation Weekend, featuring a pre-game autograph session with Isotopes players from approximately 5:30-5:50 p.m. just inside the third-base gate.

Also, a post-game fireworks show.

During the weekend, fans in attendance can enter to win prizes.

SATURDAY: Little League Night. More post-game fireworks.

SUNDAY: The Final Fiesta — the last home game of the season and the final Mariachis de Nuevo México game. First pitch, 1:35 p.m.

All activities and promotions are subject to the possibility of inclement weather.

On the field, the Las Vegas Aviators will provide the opposition for this final, six-game home series.

The Isotopes enter the series with a 56-82 overall record, ninth in the Pacific Coast League, but are 30-33 in the second half.

With their first stolen base of the series, the Isotopes will tie the franchise record of 178, set in 2003. Greg Jones has led the way with 44 steals, a career high.

He's tied for the PCL lead with Tacoma's Ryan Bliss and Samad Taylor.

Dee Gordon set the Isotopes' stolen-base record with 49 in 2013.

Elehuris Montero leads the team in hitting with a .337 average. He ranks fifth in the PCL.

The Isotopes will seek to improve their average attendance figure of 6,654 per game, the best in the PCL and sixth-best in all of Minor League Baseball. That's slightly lower than last year's average of 7,048.

The Isotopes will conclude the 2024 season with a six-game series at Reno from Sept. 17-22.
