Tavia Hunt, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs CEO and part-owner Clark Hunt, gave a glimpse of her daughter’s decked out dorm room.

In an Instagram post from Aug. 23, Tavia Hunt shared a series of photos from her youngest daughter Ava Hunt’s dorm room at Southern Methodist University, which received a massive makeover.

The room's complete transformation included a vanity with mirrored drawers, pink floral bedding and matching tufted stools, pink neon signs with her name above her bed, and other pink decor and items.

Accompanying the photos of her daughter's gorgeous dorm room, Tavia Hunt penned a heartfelt note in the caption reflecting on the moment of dropping her youngest child off at college.

She and Clark Hunt also share daughter Gracie Hunt, 25, and son Knobel Hunt, 22.

“Today, I left a piece of my heart at SMU,” the mom-of-three wrote in the caption. “Ava Hunt, you’ve always been a mix of sunshine and hurricane — fierce, fearless, and capable of incredible things. I’m overflowing with excitement for you, even as I tuck away my tears for later.”

Tavia Hunt shared the emotions of having her daughter no longer at home, writing that “the house is too quiet” without her laughter and the scent of her favorite perfume.

“I know you’ll return often, and that this marks a new adventure and freedom for both of us ...yet, I whisper earnest prayers for your safety, wisdom, and for a tribe of new sisters who love Jesus and love you,” she added. “May God bless you and watch over you — He has never failed me, nor will He fail you.”

Tavia Hunt expressed her excitement for her daughter to have new experiences and learn new lessons as she embarks on her college experience, adding, “Watching you shine your light and grow into the most beautiful version of yourself makes my heart beat a little happier.”

“You’ve worked so hard to get here,” she wrote. “Everything that you do from here on out is for you—for your success, happiness, and God’s glory.”

Tavia Hunt ended her caption with a touching sentiment, sharing advice and a note to her daughter, writing, “Stay safe. Get sleep. Have faith in yourself. And remember, Mom and Dad are ALWAYS here when you need us.”

Tavia Hunt’s post struck a chord with fellow parents, both for the emotional moment of dropping a child off at college, and for the stunning dorm room decor.
