Kansas State men’s basketball fans can begin preparing for a season unlike anything they have seen before.

The Wildcats announced their complete schedule for the 2024-25 season on Thursday and the slate features a few quirks that will feel new for every team in the Big 12.

For starters, K-State will play 20 conference games for the first time. League play will begin on Dec. 30 with a home game against Cincinnati at Bramlage Coliseum. It won’t end until March 8 when the Wildcats host Iowa State on senior day.

In between they will play two rare Sunday games.

The Big 12 hasn’t historically played many games on Sunday before, but conference commissioner Brett Yormark wants the league to step into new television windows. That means K-State will host Arizona State on Feb. 23 and then Colorado on March 2 on back-to-back Sundays late in the season.

This schedule also includes a few grueling stretches that will test Jerome Tang’s team.

The first comes in mid January when K-State must hit the road for consecutive games against Kansas and Baylor.

Later in the season, the Wildcats will host Kansas and Arizona in consecutive games that will likely be must-see action for fans.

Other marquee home games include Houston on Jan. 11 and Iowa State in the season-finale.
