Maidstone man, 37, arrested in rape investigation
A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a rape in central Maidstone.
Kent Police is appealing for information following a report that a woman was sexually assaulted near the Lockmeadow leisure complex on Monday 2 September.
Police said an unknown man left the scene on foot heading towards the town's Millennium Bridge.
They said a man, from Maidstone, was taken into custody 18:55 BST on Wednesday 4 September.
