NC farm has one of the best corn mazes across the country, USA Today says

If you’ve been wanting to add a trip to a corn maze on your fall bucket list, you can find one of the best in the country in North Carolina.

As part of its annual USA Today 10Best Readers Choice Awards, USA Today revealed the Top 10 corn mazes to visit this season, including one local farm nestled in the Southeastern part of the Tar Heel state.

Of the many mazes across the nation, Hubb’s Farm in Clinton was ranked No. 3 as the only North Carolina spot to make the list.

“Since 2008, the Peterson family has welcomed visitors to test their inner GPS as they navigate miles of trails within a corn maze that spans more than 10 acres,” the report says. “For parents with toddlers, there’s a shorter half-mile maze that is sure to delight.”

The Hubb’s Farm corn maze sits on 15 acres with three individual mazes and nearly four miles of trails to wander through, including one with a tribute to Toby Keith’s famous hit “Red Solo Cup” with live zinnias.

Hubb’s Farm is located at 10276 N, US-421 in Clinton, NC.

Of the three mazes, the longest one is about three miles and the shortest is less than half a mile. Though it’s a fan-favorite fall pit stop, it is not designed to be haunted for spooky season.

The farm, located in Sampson County, originally opened as Hubb’s Corn Maze, according to its website. As owners John and Tammy Peterson added more activities and attractions over the years to the land that’s been in their family for more than four generations, it’s grown to popular “agritourism destination” open year-round.

“We are truly honored to be recognized by USA Today as one of the top mazes in America,” Tammy Peterson, co-owner of Hubb’s Farm, said in a news release. “It’s a testament to our team’s dedication and the community’s support. We’re thrilled to share this honor with our visitors, and we invite everyone to experience this year’s maze for themselves.”

Though the farm is open through all seasons, the fall is a premiere time for visitors of all ages with a full lineup of fall activities available beginning Sept. 28.

Along with the three giant corn mazes, the farm will also have wagon rides, forest trails, a pumpkin patch, a mini zipline and more this season.
