Hindsight is 20-20 as the adage goes, but “Good Morning Football” host Peter Schrager saw this coming from a mile away.

Ahead of Patrick Mahomes’ first full season as the Chiefs starter, Schrager predicted Mahomes would become a star.

That was after Mahomes had made just one start in his NFL career. On Sunday, Mahomes will make his 100th regular-season start as the Chiefs face the Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

During Friday’s “Good Morning Football” on the NFL Network, Schrager took a look at some of the quirky, fun stats from the two-time NFL MVP’s career.

Here are some highlights.

  • Which team has Mahomes defeated the most? It’s the Broncos (12 times)

  • Which quarterback has Mahomes defeated the most? That’d be the Saints’ ‘Derek Carr (eight), the former Raiders QB

  • Schrager noted that Bills quarterback Josh Allen has the most wins (three) head-to-head against Mahomes

  • Bengals star Trey Hendrickson and the Raiders Maxx Crosby have sacked Mahomes the most often (five each)

  • Also of note: The Chiefs lost in Mahomes’ 25th and 75th career regular-season starts.

“Mahomes has had objectively, the best start to a career in NFL history at any position, in any era,” Schrager said Friday.

Here is the breakdown of stats from Mahomes’ career that Schrager shared on “Good Morning Football.”
