Oklahoma State to wear Barry Sanders era throwback uniforms vs. Texas (Photos)
Oklahoma State will honor the 30th anniversary of Barry Sanders’ Heisman Trophy-winning season by wearing 1988 throwback uniforms against No. 6 Texas on Saturday.
Sanders had arguably the greatest individual season in 1988 with 2,850 yards and 44 touchdowns, breaking 34 NCAA records in the process. The Cowboys finished the year with a 10-2 record, led the country in scoring and beat Wyoming in the Holiday Bowl.
Respect the 🐐.

Saturday’s game is also homecoming for Oklahoma State, which is coming off a bye week. Previously, OSU lost two in a row to Iowa State and Kansas State to drop to 4-3 on the season, but just 1-3 in Big 12 play.
The game against the sixth-ranked Longhorns kicks off at 8 p.m. ET.
