PennDOT's emergency pipe replacement on Carverton Road starts Thursday

Sep. 11—WILKES-BARRE — PennDOT announced Wednesday that work will begin Thursday on Carverton Road between McDermott Lane and 8th Street in Kingston Township, to perform an emergency pipe replacement.

PennDOT said it hopes to have the road reopened by the second week of October. The work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

The project was scheduled to start on Monday, Sept. 9, but was delayed due to material delivered late.
