Second quarter housing sales, prices and inventory up for city

Jul. 22—Recent Santa Fe housing data shows city housing sales, prices and inventory have risen, while some county sales have fallen compared to data from the second quarter of 2023.

According to a report from the Santa Fe Association of Realtors with city and county housing data for April, May and June, city home sales rose by 5.3% while county home sales decreased by 18.2%.

Median prices for homes in the city of Santa Fe rose by less than 1% from $605,000 in 2023 to $608,000 in 2024's second quarter. Median prices in Santa Fe County rose by almost 2% from $800,000 last year to $812,078 this year.

Condo and townhome sales fell, while their prices increased by 6.4%, from $426,500 in 2023 to $454,000 in 2024. Notably, overall land sales dropped by 47.3%, while median land prices rose by 25% from $140,000 in 2023 to $175,000 this quarter.

Other findings include the inventory of city and county single family homes for sale increasing 19.4%. The number of days single-family homes, condos and townhomes are on the market until sold is 41 days.
