See Starbucks tease PSL, fall menu. Summer turns to fall in change of taste series

The Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is soon to be upon us.

The company first unleashed its PSL onto the world for a limited time in the fall of 2003, and ever since then has had a sizeable segment of the population eager for its annual return; and setting off a deluge of seasonal foods and drinks in the flavor.

Over the weekend, Starbucks began teasing the coming of the PSL and its new fall menu, posting to social media videos of summer activities being taken over by other fall icons.

Fall is almost here: You can order Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks soon.

On Aug. 16, the company posted to Instagram the caption “Torn between our two great loves,” with emojis to indicate summer and fall and with the text “Inside you are two wolves: (One doesn't want summer to end, one wants a PSL).

It followed with a video of a couple playing beach volleyball, with the ball turning into a pumpkin.

On Aug. 17, the couple is shown building a sandcastle on a beach when a bucket of sand turns into a bucket of fall leaves.

A video posted the following day sees the couple roasting ears of corn that are transformed into cob-shaped formations of candy corn pieces, laying on beds of the popular Halloween candy.

The Aug. 19 installment in the series has the couple playing croquet when the balls turn into apples.
