'Shelter-in-place' order issued at NHTI as police chase wanted man

Sep. 24—A man wanted on domestic violence charges was arrested in Concord Monday night following a chase and search involving State Police that forced a nearby local college campus to shelter in place.

Charles Cutting II, 37, of Rumney, was wanted on assault, domestic violence and criminal threatening charges when he was located in Concord around 8 p.m. Monday, State Police said.

Cutting allegedly fled from state and Concord police, officials said, then abandoned his vehicle on the NHTI campus, a nearby community college.

A shelter-in-place order was issued for the NHTI campus while police looked for Cutting. He was eventually found on a walking trail adjacent to Interstate 393 eastbound and taken into custody.

Cutting was charged with disobeying an officer, reckless conduct, and reckless operation.

Anyone with additional information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Sgt. Sean Smarz at 603-892-5512.
