String group behind ‘Bridgerton’ and pop covers, including Taylor Swift, coming to Bellingham

The Vitamin String Quartet, a string ensemble known for performing covers of pop songs like Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams,” Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next,” and Billie Eilish’s “bad guy,” is coming to Bellingham to perform live.

The group became highly popular for making “classical music in ‘Bridgerton’ pop by re-recording, rearranging, and reimagining contemporary pop songs as classic pieces,” according to an article on the Grammy Awards website.

The Los Angeles-based group’s music has also been featured in television shows “Shameless,” “Modern Family” and “Westworld.”

The group is coming to Bellingham to perform for one night only at the Mount Baker Theatre.

“We are thrilled to bring Vitamin String Quartet’s beloved arrangements of all things pop out to the many audiences that have already made VSQ records a part of their lives. We can’t wait to dive into all of our favorites — new and old — with our fans,” cellist Derek Stein wrote in a news release.

The group will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. Tickets are on sale now online and start at $15.75. As tickets went on sale in July, many seats have already been filled.

The Mount Baker Theatre’s full 2024 lineup can be found here.

Mount Baker Theatre is at 104 North Commercial St. in Bellingham.
