Teen critically injured during Southwest Albuquerque shooting

Jul. 10—Police are searching for a white pickup truck in connection with a Tuesday evening shooting that critically injured a 14-year-old boy in Southwest Albuquerque.

The boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, the Albuquerque Police Department was dispatched to a call of a shooting in the 10600 block of Connemara SW, near Central and 114th Street.

APD spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said when officers arrived, they learned that a boy was "struck by bullets."

He said video surveillance showed a white pickup that may be related to the shooting.

"Detectives are requesting help from the public to identify the truck and its occupants at the time and location of the shooting," Gallegos said.
