Teeny Albino Gator Hatches at Florida Park

The Wild Florida animal park has welcomed another rare albino alligator this year, with video from them showing the moment the cute little one hatched out in late July.

Sam Haught, co-owner of Wild Florida Airboats and Gator Park, was recording as the tiny alligator baby poking its pale head out of its egg with assistance from a staff member.

Haught told Storyful that only “one out of nine eggs laid by the world famous albino gator parents Snowflake and Blizzard hatched” this year. It was, he said, the “third year in a row albino babies have been born at the park.”

The albino alligator baby’s lack of skin pigmentation would put it at risk in the wild as it would be an easy target for predators. Credit: Sam Haught via Storyful
