UK basketball reveals jersey numbers for 2024-25 season. See the number for each Wildcat.

A brand-new Kentucky men’s basketball roster is in place ahead of the 2024-25 college basketball season, and UK fans can now get acquainted with the jersey numbers that will be worn by the Wildcats next season.

These are the uniform numbers for each of the 14 players confirmed to be part of head coach Mark Pope’s first UK basketball squad.

Kentucky’s roster currently breaks down as follows:

Nine additions via the NCAA transfer portal: Ansley Almonor (Fairleigh Dickinson), Koby Brea (Dayton), Lamont Butler (San Diego State), Andrew Carr (Delaware and Wake Forest), Brandon Garrison (Oklahoma State), Kerr Kriisa (Arizona and West Virginia), Otega Oweh (Oklahoma), Jaxson Robinson (Texas A&M, Arkansas and BYU) and Amari Williams (Drexel).

Three first-year, freshman players: Collin Chandler, Trent Noah and Travis Perry.

Two walk-on players: Grant Darbyshire and Walker Horn.

The Wildcats still have one scholarship slot open for next season’s team.

In numerical order, here’s a look at the 14 known jersey numbers for the players on the 2024-25 Kentucky basketball team:

Otega Oweh — 00

A 6-foot-4, 208-pound guard who previously played two seasons at Oklahoma, Oweh will match his initials by wearing No. 00 with the Wildcats.

During his two college seasons with the Sooners, Oweh wore the No. 3 jersey.

The last UK player to wear No. 00 was forward Marcus Lee on the 2015-16 Kentucky team.

Lamont Butler — 1

A 6-2, 204-pound guard who previously played four seasons at San Diego State, Butler will wear No. 1 with the Wildcats.

During each of his previous four seasons of college basketball with the Aztecs, Butler wore the No. 5 on the back of his jersey.

The last UK player to wear No. 1 was Justin Edwards last season.

Jaxson Robinson — 2

A 6-6, 191-pound guard who previously played one season each at Texas A&M and Arkansas, and two seasons at BYU under Pope, Robinson will wear No. 2 with the Wildcats.

During the 2020-21 season at Texas A&M, Robinson wore the No. 4 jersey. During the 2021-22 season at Arkansas, Robinson wore the No. 14 jersey. Robinson wore the No. 2 jersey during each of the last two seasons at BYU.

The last UK player to wear No. 2 was Aaron Bradshaw last season.

Koby Brea — 4

A 6-7, 206-pound guard who previously played four seasons at Dayton, Brea will wear No. 4 with the Wildcats.

During each of his four seasons with the Flyers, Brea also wore No. 4 as he blossomed into one of the best 3-point shooters in all of college basketball.

The last UK player to wear No. 4 was Tre Mitchell last season, who was also a veteran, fifth-year player for the Cats.

Collin Chandler — 5

A 6-5, 187-pound freshman guard, Chandler will make his college basketball debut while wearing the No. 5 jersey. Chandler was previously signed to play college basketball at BYU before backing out of that pledge and instead following Pope (the former BYU and Utah Valley head coach) to Lexington.

Chandler was part of the 2022 college basketball recruiting class, and spent the last two years serving a mission trip for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The last UK player to wear No. 5 was Terrence Clarke, who played the 2020-21 season at UK. Clarke died in a car accident while preparing for the 2021 NBA draft.

Andrew Carr — 7

A 6-11, 227-pound forward who previously played two seasons each at Delaware and Wake Forest, Carr will wear No. 7 with the Wildcats.

During each of his two seasons with the Blue Hens, Carr wore the No. 21 jersey. During each of his two seasons at Wake Forest, Carr wore the No. 11 jersey.

The last UK player to wear No. 7 was James Flynn, a forward on the 1951-52 Kentucky team, a group that lost in the second round of a 16-team NCAA tournament, but was still voted the top team in the country in both the final Associated Press and United Press polls.

Trent Noah — 9

A 6-5, 209-pound freshman guard, Noah is one of two in-state recruits from the 2024 recruiting group who will suit up for Pope’s first UK team.

A former star player at Harlan County High School, Noah was previously signed to play at South Carolina, but changed course and joined UK after Pope was named Kentucky’s coach in the spring.

The last UK player to wear No. 9 was Glen Parker, a sub-6-foot guard who played on the 1943-44 Kentucky team.

Brandon Garrison — 10

A 6-10, 245-pound center who previously played one season at Oklahoma State, Garrison will wear No. 10 with the Wildcats.

A former McDonald’s All-American in 2023, Garrison wore No. 23 during his lone season at Oklahoma State.

The last UK player to wear No. 10 was guard Davion Mintz, who wore the number for both the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons after he transferred to Kentucky from Creighton.

Travis Perry — 11

A 6-1, 178-pound freshman guard, Perry is one of three first-year newcomers on next season’s Kentucky squad. Perry will wear No. 11.

The all-time leading scorer in Kentucky boys high school basketball history, Perry is fresh off a Sweet 16 state championship-winning season with Lyon County High School. During a high school basketball career that included being a starter as a seventh grader, Perry scored an astounding 5,481 career points.

The last UK player to wear No. 11 was another former commonwealth high school star, Dontaie Allen, who was a Mr. Basketball at Pendleton County and spent the 2019-20 (redshirt), 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons at Kentucky.

Grant Darbyshire — 13

A 6-2, 188-pound guard, Darbyshire is entering his third season as a walk-on player for the Wildcats and will once again wear No. 13.

During both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, Darbyshire also wore No. 13 for UK.

The last UK player to wear No. 13 for the Cats, before Darbyshire, was Riley Welch, another walk-on guard during the 2020-21 season.

Ansley Almonor — 15

A 6-7, 232-pound forward who previously played three college seasons at Fairleigh Dickinson, Almonor will wear No. 15 for the Wildcats.

During his three seasons with the Knights, Almonor wore No. 5 each season.

The last UK player to wear No. 15 was one-and-done, in-state guard Reed Sheppard last season.

Walker Horn — 21

A 6-3, 183-pound guard, Horn is entering his third season as a walk-on player for the Wildcats and will wear the No. 21 jersey next season.

During the 2022-23 season, Horn also wore No. 21. Last season, Horn wore No. 22.

The last UK player to wear No. 21 was guard D.J. Wagner, who wore that number last season at Kentucky.

Amari Williams — 22

A 7-foot forward who previously played four seasons at Drexel, Williams will wear the No. 22 jersey at Kentucky.

Williams — who was the first transfer portal pickup for Pope this offseason at UK — also wore the No. 22 jersey during all four of his previous college seasons at Drexel.

The last UK player to wear No. 22 was walk-on guard Walker Horn, who wore that number last season with the Wildcats.

Kerr Kriisa — 77

A 6-3, 190-pound guard who was born in Estonia, Kriisa will wear the distinct No. 77 for the Wildcats next season.

Kriisa previously played three college seasons at Arizona and spent last season at West Virginia.

During the 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons at Arizona, Kriisa wore the No. 25 jersey. Last season with the Mountaineers, Kriisa wore No. 3.

Only two UK basketball players in history have previously worn the No. 77 jersey: The legendary Bill Spivey and Harold Hurst, who last wore that number during the 1954-55 season.

Prior to last season, an NCAA rule change allowed players to wear any number between 0 and 99. Previously, the league had restricted two-digit jersey numbers that began with a 6, 7, 8 or 9, such as the No. 77.
