Widespread power outages reported in Santa Fe

Jul. 10—Large swathes of Santa Fe, including much of downtown and the south and east sides of town, lost power Wednesday evening.

Almost 26,000 customers in Santa Fe were out of power as of about 9:15 p.m., said Public Service Company of New Mexico spokesman Kai Porter. He said the outages are likely due to Wednesday evening's thunderstorms.

"Crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to all customers," Porter said.

Estimated restoration times vary by neighborhood but are around 10 p.m. or 10:15 p.m. in most parts of Santa Fe.
