Niall Horan Dishes on Why He's Never Worked With Shawn Mendes
If you've ever wondered why the heck Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes haven't collabed on a song yet, join the club. The singers have been friends for several years, but they still have yet to release a song together.
Back in October 2021, the pair teased a potential song after a fan tweeted pics of Shawn and Niall together, saying they want the boys to collab. Shawn retweeted the post, saying, "It's almost time.. What do you think @NiallOfficial."
Niall replied, commenting, "Let's try 😂😂. trying would be a lot more than we've done previously.

A fan replied to Niall, tweeting, "what you've done previously = drink and gossip."
"Correct 😂," he responded.
Niall, who spilled the tea on the Capital Breakfast radio show, finally explained just why we haven't been blessed with a Shawn x Niall collab.
"God knows. This is the same question I've been asked in every interview since about 2015," he said. "We've never really, like, sat down and done it. We just, like, end up going for dinner, or going for drinks, or just, we've got a load of mutual mates, so we just, we're better at that."
Later in the interview, Niall played a round of "Wrong Answers Only," where he was asked if the TikTok rumors of a Harry Styles collab were true.
"Yes," he answered.
Shawn revealed he's working on some new music, so who knows, maybe we'll get a Niall feature after all.
