North Quincy football eyes winning record: 2024 Raiders schedule

The North Quincy football team improved its record by two games last fall compared to the 2022 season. Now the Raiders are hoping further improvement can get them back over .500.

The Raiders finished 5-6 in 2023 after a 3-7 campaign in 2022. They were 3-3 after a wild 43-32 win at Pembroke on Oct. 13 but then dropped three in a row to elite competition. They were beaten by eventual Div. 4 state finalist Scituate and eventual Div. 5 state finalist Hanover to end the regular season and then lost to No. 5 Barnstable in the first round of the Div. 2 playoffs. Barnstable went on to make the semifinals, losing to eventual champ King Philip.

North Quincy finished strong by winning its final two games -- 42-21 against Plymouth North in a non-playoff Week 10 matchup and 43-20 against city rival Quincy on Thanksgiving.
