Ohio State football schedule: Dates, times, TV channels for 2024 season

Ohio State football once again has national championship expectations as it heads into the 2024 season.

Coming off an 11-2 overall season in 2023, the Buckeyes replenished its roster with some key additions on both ends of the ball through the transfer portal — most notably Kansas State quarterback Will Howard and Alabama safety Caleb Downs — giving Ryan Day and Co. what is considered by some as one of college football's top rosters.

Ohio State was voted the No. 2 team in the country in both the preseason US LMB Coaches and AP Top 25 polls, ahead of new Big Ten foe Oregon (No. 3), Michigan (No. 8) and Penn State (No. 9) in the top 10 of each respective poll.

The Buckeyes open up the 2024 schedule with a three-game homestand, starting with Akron on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Ohio State ends the regular season against "that team up north" on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Ohio Stadium.
