We will have live updates all evening.

9:20 p.m.: Ravenna bounces back for a huge win

What a performance by the Ravens to bounce back from a heartbreaking Week 1 loss with a 21-0 victory over visiting Mogadore Friday night.

C.J. Ross got Ravenna started with a 71-yard touchdown pass to Trey Carter on third and long.

The Ravens defense took it from there, including stopping the Wildcats three times in the red zone in the second quarter.

Bryant Thompson clinched the win with his wonderful work out of the Wildcat formation in the fourth quarter.

9:05 p.m.: Bryant Thompson Wildcat works to perfection

Nice twist by the Ravens to go with the Wildcat on that last drive. Bryant Thompson such a gifted ball-carrier. Ravenna gives it to Thompson seven times for 47 yards on that touchdown drive, including the one-yard inside run across the goal line. It's 21-0 Ravens with 6:48 remaining.

8:58 p.m.: Ravenna has the ball at midfield

C.J. Ross started his day with a 71-yard TD pass for the Ravens. And now the talented junior reads the Wildcats' rollout perfectly and steps in for the interception along the sideline.

It's Ravenna ball at the Mogadore 47 and it's 14-0 Ravens with 10:55 remaining.

8:47 p.m.: Ravenna leads by 14 after three quarters

The Ravens are trying to pull away from the Wildcats. Quarterback C.J. Ross tossed a beautiful ball over the middle to Robert Melzer for a gain of 14 just now. Ravenna is currently at the Mogadore 34 to start the fourth quarter. It's 14-0 Ravens.

8:37 p.m.: Ravenna holds serve

The Ravens still lead 14-0 with 3:06 left in the third.

LaDarion Askew had a big interception to end the Wildcats' last drive.

8:00 p.m.: Mogadore can't capitalize

The Wildcats had their chances in the second quarter, with three separate trips to the red zone, one set up by a big fumble recovery from Aaron Rumschlag.

Mogadore had a 27-1 advantage in plays run during the second quarter.

But the Wildcats couldn't turn all those plays and red-zone trips into points.

7:40 p.m.: Tykwon Ward steps up big for Ravenna

What a play by Tykwon Ward with his second takeaway of the first half. Mogadore went with trickery on fourth and four with a toss sweep throw to the end zone and Ward stepped in to pick off the under-thrown ball and take off 96 yards down the left sideline.

It's 14-0 Ravenna with 5:04 left in the first half.

7:37 p.m.: Another big fourth down awaits Mogadore

Ravenna's Amare Marshall had a touchdown-saving tackle on second down and then a TFL on third down, so Mogadore now faces fourth and five from the Ravenna 7.

7:35 p.m.: Mogadore gamble pays off

What a call from the Wildcats. Facing fourth and four from the Ravens' 41, Karson Jaber faked the handoff and found Nick Stephenson arcing toward the left sideline for a gain of 27.

First down Mogadore at the Ravenna 14.

It's 7-0 Ravens.

7:25 p.m.: Ravenna leads at the quarter break

7:00 p.m.: Ravenna strikes first

Facing third and long, Ravens junior quarterback C.J. Ross evaded the Wildcats blitz and found Trey Carter wide open down the right sideline for a 71-yard TD catch.

Meet the Mogadore Wildcats football team

Mogadore dropped a close opener at Field despite an electric 48-yard touchdown run from Conner Lehner. The Wildcats yielded 195 rushing yards last week (141 by Drexal McAmis) against a very solid Falcons ground game, but have a very solid defense led by DL Nick Stephenson and LB Will Baskey. Mogadore hasn't lost back-to-back games since 2004 and is hoping to avoid its first 0-2 start of the century.

Meet the Ravenna Ravens football team

Ravenna dropped a tight contest to Roosevelt, 14-7, despite Bryant Thompson starring with an interception and a touchdown catch. While the Ravens struggled offensively in their opener, their defense was rock solid, holding the Rough Riders to just 100 yards on 34 carries. That run defense, led by LB Jaxon Kelly and DL Robert Melzer, will need to be on its game once again taking on a Wildcats team that has an array of strong backs.

Meet Mogadore coach Matt Adorni

Matt Adorni has been at the helm of the Wildcats since 2004, recording his 200th career win during last year's postseason. Mogadore has a history of deep runs under Adorni, including its current string of three straight regional title game appearances.

Meet Ravenna coach Brian Coman

Brian Coman, a Ravenna Class of 1988 graduate, made his head coaching debut last week. He was previously a longtime coordinator at Akron East and an assistant coach at Ravenna and Stow-Munroe Falls. After playing for the Ravens, he went on to start for Youngstown State.
