Olentangy soccer star is Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center's Athlete of the Week
With more than 17,200 votes, Olentangy soccer player Sawyer Wilbanks is the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Athlete of the Week for Sept. 16-22.
Wilbanks Sawyer scored three goals in a 5-1 win over Marysville.
Wilbanks received 52.2% of the vote and was followed Grove City football player Ayden McKinstry, who received 20.2%, Upper Arlington football player Wally Swiney (5%), Northland football player Tyreek Lewis (3.7%), Thomas Worthington water polo player Leah Pierce (2.88%), Grove City football player Myles Hutchinson (2.87%), Granville golfer Olivia Jones (2.6%), Olentangy Berlin soccer player Lincoln Wallace (2.4%) and Olentangy Orange football player Treyton Schroeder (2.1%).
McKintsry, the runner-up, rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-16 win over Hilliard Darby.

Nominations are due Monday mornings for competitions that took place the previous week. The poll is live until 4 p.m. Fridays.
