Do you have a pulse? Then you probably know Batman. The iconic superhero and staple of page and screen alike is renowned for fighting crime with detective skills, martial arts and an array of gadgets — including, notably, his specially designed vehicle, the Batmobile. Which is why it's a little surprising to see Automobili Pininfarina's line of one-off electric hypercars built in partnership with Batman owners Warner Bros. Discovery celebrate not just the dark, brooding hero, but also his alter ego facade: Bruce Wayne.

Yet that's just what Pininfarina is doing with the new B95 Gotham.

The B95 Gotham — set to be unveiled at the 2024 Monterey Car Week's The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering — is based on the B95 barchetta, which in turn is built on the same bones as the Battista coupe. Bruce Wayne's character generally projects immense wealth and a devotion to materialism to alleviate suspicion that he's also Batman, and the specification of the the silver-and-tan B95 Gotham is certainly in line with that concept.

Like all B95s and Battistas, the B95 Gotham is an ultra-powerful quad-motor EV, producing 1,900 horsepower and launching from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under two seconds. Each shares bones with the segment-defining Rimac Nevera, thanks to a partnership that dates back to 2018. That makes the B95 a serious performance car... even though this one comes with a Batman quote engraved on the driver's side door, and has a voice assistant inspired by Batman's butler Alfried.

Three more Batman-themed Pininfarina creations are on the way, including a Wayne-themed Battista and Batman-themed variants of both cars. Each will be a one-of-one available to customers — and while the B95 Gotham to be shown in Monterey is a show car, Automobili Pininfarina says that the first of the production cars is currently being built in Italy. The standard-edition B95 costs $4.8 million, so it's safe to say the B95 Gotham is likely more expensive than the average Batman collectible.
