Police: Bay State man drove 90 mph through I-89 construction zone

Jun. 28—A Massachusetts man was charged with reckless operation after driving through a construction zone going 90 mph Thursday afternoon on I-89, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Adriano Bano Maza, 29, of Lawrence, was driving southbound in Sutton when the incident happened shortly before 3:30 p.m., state police said in a press release.

A state trooper was on duty in an I-89 construction zone, where a lane had been closed to protect workers, when a vehicle sped through at a high rate of speed, they said.

The trooper clocked the vehicle at 90 mph and the driver, Maza, was quickly stopped and charged with reckless operation, state police said.
