Ready or not, here she comes! Lauryn Hill and The Fugees extend tour, add Cincinnati stop

Lauryn Hill, one of the most successful musical artists of all time, is coming to the Queen City.

Hill announced Monday she is extending her 25th anniversary tour and will bring it to Riverbend Music Center Wednesday, Aug. 28. According to a press release, the tour, which kicked off in October 2023, celebrates her highly-acclaimed debut album, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," that features hits such as "Doo Wop (That Thing)," "Ex-Factor" and "Lost Ones."

Her 1998 solo project was named the No. 1 best album of all time by Apple Music in May. The diamond-certified album was the first hip-hop record to win Album of the Year at the 1999 Grammys. Hill also made history as the first woman to be nominated for 10 Grammy awards in one year and was the first woman to win five Grammys in one night.

The Fugees are co-headlining the special tour, which includes 21 stops in cities such as Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles. YG Marley will be a special guest.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28. A special presale for Citi Card members will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, with additional presales running throughout the week.

Fans can purchase VIP packages, which may include premium tickets, an individual photo opportunity with Hill and The Fugees, access to a pre-show VIP Hospitality Lounge, an autographed poster, a special gift and more.

Per the press release, $2 from each ticket sold will go to the MLH Fund, which benefits local and international organizations striving to address various concerns in the African diaspora, including mental health, women's wellness, small business development, education and more.
