Ready for some poutine? Air Canada announces new daily, nonstop flight out of CVG

Ready to hop a flight to Canada for some poutine? Next spring, travelers in the Cincinnati area will be able to catch a daily, nonstop flight from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to Montreal.

Air Canada announced Wednesday that the service will begin May 22.

The daily flight will depart from CVG at 1:15 p.m. and land in Montreal at 3:30 p.m. Another daily flight will depart Montreal at 6:10 p.m. and arrive in Kentucky at 8:30 p.m.

It will be serviced by a CRJ-900 aircraft that seats 76 people, according to the Air Canada website.

Montreal is full of history and charm, and we are grateful to Air Canada for this addition as it is also an excellent way to connect travelers onward to Europe, Asia, and beyond,” Candace McGraw, chief executive officer at CVG, said in a statement.

Air Canada already offers two daily flights from CVG to Toronto.

The flight to Montreal is the latest international flight added at CVG.

A nonstop flight to Cancun, Mexico was added by American Airlines in December. And British Airways launched its first nonstop flights from CVG to London-Heathrow Airport last June.
