New restaurant at famous Adams County site to open for Easter Sunday
After almost 13 years of sitting vacant, a popular Adams County building is set to open its doors once again on Easter Sunday.
The Farmhouse Restaurant at the Barn Resort, located in the newly renovated 130,000-square-foot building that once housed Boyd's Bear Country, will open for its first day of food service on Easter Sunday, according to a news release by the business.
Following the grand opening, the restaurant will be open to the public at 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays, at 75 Cunningham Road in Cumberland Township.
“This landmark property is beloved by the Gettysburg community, and I am so excited to see it brought back to life with new purpose and potential," said Brian Smith, owner and CEO of the Barn Resort.
The menu for Easter will feature a carving station with prime rib and honey-glazed ham, smoked salmon, fried shrimp, fried chicken, grilled chicken, roast turkey and an "extensive" array of pastas, vegetables and sides, according to the release.
