Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to... a 2023 Matty Healy interview?

Amid talk that Oasis is getting back together thanks to reports, rumors and some social media teasing from both Liam and Noel Gallagher, a resurfaced interview from The 1975 frontman is now making waves on social media given his request for the group to "grow up" and "get back together" last year.

Healy's February 2023 chat on Q with Tom Power is picking up some steam on X (formerly Twitter) amid the recent Oasis talk, as Healy previously made a "public service announcement" about the frequently feuding musical brothers.

“What are Oasis doing?” Healy asked of the band, which split in 2009. “Can you imagine being in potentially – right now, still – the coolest band in the world, and not doing it because you’re in a mard [UK slang for being in a sulky and petulant mood] with your brother?”

Healy then added that he could deal with the Gallagher brothers “dressing like they’re in their 20s and being in their 50s," but not “acting like they’re in their 20s."

"Stop marding," Healy continued. "They're like men of the people. And they’re sat around in, like, Little Venice and Highgate, crying over an argument with their brother. Grow up. Headline Glastonbury! Have a good time. Have a laugh.”

Healy concluded his reunion plea by alleging that there's "not one person" going to either of Liam, 51, or Noel's, 57, solo performances that would "not rather be at an Oasis" show. "Do me a favor: Get back together, stop messing around. That’s my public service announcement for today.”

At the time, Healy's PSA to Oasis apparently didn't go over too well, as Noel told SPIN that Healy was a "f---ing slack-jawed f---wit," who "needs to go over how s--- his band is and split up." The 1975 frontman eventually responded to Noel during a show in Dublin, during which he reiterated his reunion plea.

“I love Noel Gallagher. We asked Liam to open up and he said he would have done it but he was busy. But I love Noel Gallagher, give it up for Noel Gallagher. He’s just getting on," Healy said. "The difference between me and Noel is that I do a series of interviews to promote an album, whereas he does an album to promote a series of interviews. But we love you Noel, get Oasis back together!”

While Healy may not have been the deciding factor in whatever Oasis is teasing, the band did share a cryptic post on X over the weekend, alluding to an announcement happening on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m. Both Noel and Liam shared the same post on X.

The tease coincided with a story from The Sunday Times, which reported that fans may be able to catch the band in Manchester and London in the summer of 2025 for a string of performances.

Liam himself continued to tease a potential reunion on social media, sending an array of responses to fans on X who either expressed their excitement for the rumored shows or made negative comments. Underneath nine different posts, he wrote "your attitude stinks," while another handful earned the response, "your attitude is biblical."

At one point, a fan responded to the reunion rumors with the message, "been saying this and nobody believed me."

"Same," Liam replied, keeping his lips sealed until the apparent Tuesday announcement.
