Road America’s Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend returns this weekend. Here's everything to know.

ELKHART LAKE – “A three-day journey through time” will take to America’s National Park of Speed this weekend.

Road America in Elkhart Lake welcomes the return of the Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend Sept. 13-15.

The event, in collaboration with Vintage Sports Car Driver Association, brings more than 200 restored vintage and historic race cars to the track across 10 racing classes. It showcases the evolution of motorsport, from the elegant lines of classic sports cars to the thunderous roars of muscle machines, a news release said.

The weekend offers an open-access paddock in which fans can immerse themselves in the world of vintage racing and a packed schedule of sprint and endurance races.

Friday night’s Closed Wheel Endurance Series Race, supporting Disabled American Veterans, is one highlight.

Saturday brings the inaugural Carl Haas Cup Race, which will feature fast sports racing and formula cars.

Additionally, there are feature races for Formula B, Formula Ford and the special VSCDA Founders Race.
