Rob Schneider's Elvis joins Adam Sandler in new comedy special “Love You”

Sandler's "SNL" costar and longtime friend joins him onstage to perform "It's Now or Never."

Adam Sandler's latest comedy special is all shook up thanks to his old pal Rob Schneider.

Adam Sandler: Love You (out now on Netflix) features the Sandman's Saturday Night Live costar and frequent collaborator joining him onstage for a performance of Elvis Presley's "It's Now or Never." Clad in a white jumpsuit with gold rhinestones and shaking his hips, Schneider belts out the popular tune as Sandler strums along on guitar.

"Pretty f---ing good, bro! Pretty f---ing good," Sandler yells out at the end in praise of Schneider's performance.

Schneider's passion for impersonating the King of Rock and Roll goes back to his high school days "where it just murdered," he said on fellow SNL alums David Spade and Dana Carvey's Fly on the Wall podcast. He also brought it out during his time on SNL, singing "It's Now or Never" as Young Elvis in a 1992 sketch, and performing as Microscopic Elvis in a 1994 sequel to Nicolas Cage's earlier "Tiny Elvis" sketch.

Dating nearly as far back as Schneider's love for Presley is his friendship with Sandler. After first meeting as up-and-coming comics, they both joined the SNL cast in season 16. Sandler and Schneider, along with Spade, Chris Farley, and Chris Rock (collectively known as the "Bad Boys of SNL") helped defined a new era of the iconic sketch show, infused with young and outrageous frat boy-style comedy.

The pair have frequently appeared in one another's movies in the years since, including The Waterboy, Big Daddy, Grown Ups, and 50 First Dates, among many others. Schneider also made a cameo in Sandler's last Netflix special, 100% Fresh, during a song about sex acts with astronauts.

Sandler and Schneider's relationship extends far past just appearing together onscreen.

"There's not been a week in 30 years where he doesn't check in on me," Schneider recently told PEOPLE at the premiere of Adam Sandler: Love You. "No matter where I am in the world, I'll get a phone call, sometimes in the middle of the night. ... He called me from Italy, [and said], 'What are you doing?' I go, 'It's two o'clock in the morning.' 'Well get up. I need to talk to you. Are you good?'"

Schneider has had a string of recent controversies, including his daughter, "Ex's and Oh's" singer  Elle King, opening up about their "very toxic" relationship, in which he sent her to fat camp as a child, and his warning her "don't f---ing talk about me in the press" when she was just launching her music career.

The comedian issued a response during an appearance on Tucker Carlson's podcast, pleading" "I want to tell my daughter, 'Elle, I love you, and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed, and clearly I wasn’t. I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings.'"

The Hot Chick star also criticized the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics for including drag performers, despite wearing women's clothing himself in several past roles. He was also accused of making transphobic, misogynistic, and anti-vaccination jokes during a recent comedy show.
