Rocker Jack White just announced a pop-up Columbus show. Here's how to get tickets

Former White Stripes frontman Jack White, who has brought his successful solo act to Columbus numerous times, has added the city as a stop on his pop-up tour.

Intentionally announcing the shows as close to the performance date as possible, White is set to play at Newport Music Hall on Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets, which cost $125, go on sale to members of the Third Man Records Vault at noon Wednesday, then to the general public at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Fans can register for a chance to attend by RSVPing at laylo.com/jackwhite/m/NoNameTour. You'll be notified by text when tickets and more information arrive. Tickets are will-call only.

The winner of 12 Grammys, White has visited Columbus at least three times in the past: a sellout show at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in 2012, at the Schottenstein Center (Value City Arena) in 2015 and at Express (KEMBA) Live! to a sold-out crowd in 2018.

The 49-year-old Detroit native became known as the guitarist and lead singer of the alternative rock duo The White Stripes. He also performs in two other bands he founded, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

White is touring in support of his sixth solo album, "No Name," which was released earlier this summer.
