Sabrina Carpenter Wore a transparent Vintage Mini Dress to the VMAs After Party
Multiple artists seemingly made reference to pop icon Britney Spears at the 2024 VMAs last night, including Sabrina Carpenter—who showed up the after party at Electric Lady Studios in a see-through lace mini dress (1996 Gucci by Tom Ford from Tab Vintage!) that was strongly reminiscent vibes-wise of Britney's iconic naked dress at the 2001 VMAs.

Meanwhile, Sabrina's red carpet dress was a direct reference to Madonna's major moment at the 1991 Oscars (which was in itself a reference to Marilyn Monroe). In fact, Sabrina wore Madonna's exact vintage Bob Mackie gown, also sourced from Tab Vintage.
Sabrina won her very first VMA last night (Song of the Year award for “Espresso”) and gave a cute speech saying “I’ve literally never won one of these. This is really special. The first people I want to thank are the fans. If you clap after everything I say, they’re gonna call me off the stage, so one second. But I just want to say that you guys are the reason that I get to do what I love, but also the reason that we get to have so much fun and share music with each other. And I just feel so grateful to have the best, truly, the best fans in the world. I know it sounds cheesy, but I love you."
