Here are the Gadsden area top performers for the week ending December 1, featuring AHSAA semifinal action.

Football

Cherokee County's Jacob Cornejo ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns in a 50-6 win over Westminster Christian Academy.

Cherokee County's Tae Diamond ran for two touchdowns.

Cherokee County's Keyshawn Woods ran for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Cherokee County's Carson Tittle went 3 of 3 for 111 yards and two touchdowns.

Cherokee County's Ben Frampton caught three passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns.

Coosa Christian's Kanon Wilson ran for 159 yards and a touchdown in a 21-12 win over Pickens County.

Coosa Christian's Josh Hester ran for 96 yards and a touchdown.

Coosa Christian's John David Justus ran for a touchdown.

Fyffe's Logan Anderson ran for 253 yards and three touchdowns in a 32-14 win over Pisgah. His third touchdown sent him into the top-10 all time for rushing touchdowns in a season

Fyffe's Ryder Gipson scored a rushing touchdown.

Geraldine's Carlos Mann ran for 161 yards and two touchdowns with 65 yards receiving in a 48-42 loss to Madison Academy.

Geraldine's Jaxon Colvin went 7 of 12 for 73 yards and a touchdown while adding 104 yards on the ground and two scores.

Pisgah's Legion McCrary ran for 66 yards and a touchdown in a 32-14 loss to Fyffe.

Pisgah's Luke Gilbert went 13 of 19 for 133 yards while running for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Girls basketball

Friday, Dec. 1

Etowah's Carlee Barksdale had eight points in a 53-26 loss to Southside.

Sand Rock's Katelyn St. Clair used a school record 11 three-pointers to score a school record 49 points. She added six assists and seven rebounds in an 87-34 win over Glencoe.

Sand Rock's Peyton Johnson scored 16 points.

Southside's Laylah Davis finished with 10 points and four rebounds in a 53-26 win over Etowah.

Southside's Madison Shaw scored 12 points with four assists.

Thursday, Nov. 30

Gadsden City's Karleigh Sheffield finished with 12 points in a 40-33 loss to Guntersville.

Guntersville's Maddie Ward finished with 10 points.

Guntersville's Tazi Harris finished with 13 points.

Sand Rock's Katelyn St. Clair had 29 points and seven rebounds with four assists.

Sand Rock's Zoey Handy had 19 points with 11 rebounds and seven steals.

Southside's Grace Anne Rose finished with 21 points and seven rebounds in a 54-48 win over Talladega.

Southside's Madison Shaw finished with 16 points.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

Gadsden City's Destiny Whiteside finished with 18 points and five rebounds in a 45-32 loss to Parker.

Gadsden City's Madison Tinker finished with eight points

Glencoe's AJ Amos finished with eight points.

Sand Rock's Katelyn St. Clair had 25 points and five assists.

Sand Rock's Zoey Handy had 24 points with nine rebounds, five steals and three blocks.

Southside's Grace Anne Rose finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds in a 57-23 win over Glencoe.

Westbrook Christian's Addison Hammontree led the way with 14 points and eight rebounds in a 48-35 win over Gaston

Westbrooks Christian's Keyana Jones had 10 points.

Westbrooks Christian's Landri Lipscomb finished with 10 points with eight rebounds and three blocks.

Boys basketball

Friday, Dec. 1

Southside's Cayden Reason had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Southside's Cayden McMichael had 13 points and five rebounds.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

Hoke Bluff's Landon Davenport finished with 22 points and five rebounds in a 61-60 loss to Sardis.

Hokes Bluff's Noah Johnson had 12 points.

Hokes Bluff's Anderson Morgan had 12 points.

Sardis's Carson Gillilan had 14 points and four assists in a 61-60 win over Hokes Bluff.

Sardis's Kason Moore had 14 points.

Sardis's Eli Morton had 10 points and seven rebounds to go with four assists and three steals.

Southside's Silas Osborne had 26 points in a 74-67 win over Glencoe.

Southside's Caden Reason had 22 points and 17 rebounds.
