At 58, Shania Twain isn't taking herself too seriously, and she knows how to join in on a funny moment with her fans.

Shania is back in fabulous Las Vegas for a residency celebrating her greatest hits. During a recent "Come On Over" residency show, Shania experienced a minor mishap during her set.

Twain was belting out "(If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here," holding a microphone in her right hand and a drumstick in her left. In between verses, Shania danced to the music, but when she jumped back in on the next verse she mistook the drumstick for her microphone.

Upon realizing her mistake, the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" songstress quickly replaced her drumstick for her microphone. "Oh my God! That was hilarious," she shouted before she resumed singing.

Luckily for those of us not in attendance at Shania's Vegas show, a fan caught the whole thing on video! The fan posted the clip on TikTok and Instagram, which caught Twain's attention. She reposted the clip to her own Instagram account. "I’m really glad somebody captured this moment, it’s made me laugh all over again 😂," she captioned the clip.

Fans took the opportunity to point out that this clip proves that the pop-country queen is definitely not lip syncing on stage. "Proof she isn't lip syncing," one fan wrote. "At least you know she sings her music instead of lip singing like everyone else," another seconded.

Other fans applauded Shania's quick recovery. "The way you flawlessly continued this is amazing and purely in the moment 🙌🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️" and "Handled like the professional you are! 🙌," fans wrote. The fan who posted the clip and other commenters jokingly dubbed the move "drumstick karaoke."

Shania currently has residency performances on her schedule through December 2024, so there's still time to catch the singer in Vegas! Prices on Ticketmaster start around $100. The "Come on Over" residency, named after her 1997 album, marks Twain's third Las Vegas residency. She previously shut down the strip from 2012 to 2014 and again in 2019 and 2020.
