See who won the Press-Citizen's Athletes of the Week

Solon softball player Emerson Miller and Iowa City High baseball player Jaxton Schroeder were voted by Press-Citizen readers as the Athletes of the Week for June 10-16.

Miller earned girls Athlete of the Week with 30% of the vote. CCA softball player Reese Stockman placed second in a nailbiter with 29% of the vote.

Miller, a freshman, made an impact despite Solon's 5-4 loss to South Hamilton on June 15. She tallied a two-run single against the Hawks.

Schroeder won boys Athlete of the Week with 29% of the vote. Solon baseball player Vince Steinbrech earned second place with 27% of the vote.

Schroeder, a junior, pitched five scoreless innings during Iowa City High's 11-0 shutout over Wahlert Catholic on June 10. The third-year Little Hawk notched four strikeouts while allowing only one hit on the mound.
