Sen. Bernie Sanders to stop in Kaukauna on Thursday to rally progressives
KAUKAUNA - Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is bringing his rally to Fox Valley this week.
The former presidential candidate will hold his rally Thursday at the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 400, 2700 Northridge Drive, in Kaukauna. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the program starting at 5 p.m. The event is to "rally our progressive movement here in Wisconsin," the RSVP page says.
Wisconsin is considered a battleground state for the presidential election and is receiving visitors such as former President Trump last week in Racine and first lady Jill Biden on June 13 in Green Bay.
Sanders, an independent, is holding rallies in Eau Claire and La Crosse on Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is touring Wisconsin to rally against Trump's abortion bans, with stops in Milwaukee, Madison, Eau Claire and Hudson.
Those interested can RSVP online, however Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson posted on X that RSVP isn't necessary.
Delighted to welcome back to the Fox Valley @BernieSanders!
